Who we are

Captain Cheap (captaincheap.com) publishes cheap flight deals. The site is operated by Captain Cheap, established in Bulgaria. For any privacy question, contact hello@captaincheap.com.

For the purposes of the UK and EU General Data Protection Regulation, Captain Cheap is the data controller for personal data processed through this site.

What we collect

We do not run user accounts and we do not ask you for personal information. We do not sell data to anyone.

• Cookies you consent to. If you accept cookies, our advertising partner may set cookies to measure and personalise ads. If you decline, these are not set and the site works identically.
• A consent cookie. We store your accept/decline choice in a cookie named cc_consent so we do not ask again. This is strictly necessary to honour your choice and is set regardless of what you choose.
• Server logs. Our hosting provider records standard request data including IP address, for security and reliability. These are not used to profile you.

Advertising

We intend to show ads via Google AdSense. Google may use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other sites. You can review and adjust this at Google My Ad Center and aboutads.info.

Affiliate tracking

If you accept cookies, we load a script from our affiliate network, Travelpayouts, which identifies travel links on the page and records when you click one so the booking can be attributed to us. It runs only after you consent, and not at all if you decline.

Affiliate links

Booking links on this site are affiliate links. If you book through one, we may earn a commission at no additional cost to you. Following such a link takes you to a third party (for example Aviasales or a hotel booking site) which sets its own cookies and applies its own privacy policy — we have no control over those. See our affiliate disclosure.

Affiliate links carry an identifier so the partner can attribute the referral to us. This identifies us, not you.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right to access, correct, or erase your personal data, to object to or restrict processing, and to data portability. Because we hold no accounts and no directly identifying information, in most cases we will have nothing to act on — but write to hello@captaincheap.com and we will respond within one month.

You may withdraw cookie consent at any time by clearing cookies for this site, which will make the consent prompt appear again. You also have the right to complain to your national data protection authority.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 16 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
